Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team in the Cancer Outpatient Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide compassionate and individualized care to patients with cancer, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with various types of cancer, incorporating evidence-based practices and staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
- Promote patient education and empowerment through clear communication, effective teaching, and active listening, ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their cancer journey.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient progress, address challenges, and optimize care coordination.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by maintaining open lines of communication, providing constructive feedback, and embracing opportunities for growth and development.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota or eligibility for multi-state licensure.
- Oncology certification preferred, with chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Society's core curriculum within one year of employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
