Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients, identify areas of concern, and develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Medication Administration and Management: Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and manage medication regimens to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Monitoring and Intervention: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, and intervene promptly to address any changes or concerns.
- Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in critical care nursing.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- License and Certification: Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit, and certifications based on the unit worked, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, BCA, LTA, 12 Lead EKG, CPI, TNCC, ENPC, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, Patient Deterioration, NIH Stroke, and NRP.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
