About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate, Tax to join our team at Hyundai Capital America. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day tax functions, including preparation of state income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments, and property tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with preparation of state income tax workpapers and tax returns, quarterly estimated tax calculations, and payments.
  2. Prepare gross receipts business tax return workpapers and calculations, tax payments, and maintain compliance tax calendars.
  3. Process property tax compliance, including customer inquiries, refunds, and account reconciliations.
  4. Prepare unclaimed property filings and related support with accounting.
  5. Assist with information gathering in support of external tax audits, including receiving, reviewing, and responding to correspondence and notices.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years of general accounting or tax experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • General accounting background with an understanding of US GAAP.
  • Basic technical knowledge in the area of tax (property, sales, gross receipts).
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Good personal computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Strong technical ability to understand and use a variety of systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
