Under the guidance of the Supervisor, the Counseling Services Specialist is responsible for the creation and oversight of integrated counseling services to guarantee that clients receive the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical counseling services to designated clients, including initial evaluations, treatment planning, and discharge strategies in line with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in thorough interdisciplinary team treatment planning and participate in scheduled activities.
  • Oversee the collection of urine samples and analyze toxicology results.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and provide information about the program, including alternative service providers.
  • Maintain an updated database of referral resources and information.
  • Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 2-4 years of related experience preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the social services sector is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
  • Familiarity with computer applications is necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is preferred.
