We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our Maintenance Division at Carowinds. As a Painter, you will be responsible for performing various painting and wallpapering applications to our properties. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for painting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities- Apply various paints and stain coatings to wood, metal, plaster, or other surfaces as required using brush, roller, or spray techniques.
- Remove old paint coatings and prepare surfaces as necessary to accept new coatings.
- Mix and match paint colors for accuracy as required.
- Paint rides and structural elements as necessary to meet ride maintenance guidelines.
- Provide exceptional guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving guests or working with subordinates.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work areas and perform all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements.
- Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meet Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
- Adhere to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct, including specific costuming and grooming standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work independently and with others, with the ability to follow direction.
- Ability to work various shifts and days, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods.
- Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
