We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Substation Maintenance Co-op. This 14-week co-op will provide hands-on experience in the construction and maintenance of substation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced area coordinators and equipment specialists with the construction and maintenance of substation equipment
  • Learn procedures for testing and commissioning of all major equipment associated with power delivery
  • Train on work order management and utilize various tools in the field
  • Work with transformers, breakers, and switches
Requirements:
  • Must be part of the school's Co-op/Intern Program with a 2.7 GPA
  • Must be able to pass all requirements for GTC to work on and around cyber assets
  • Must maintain proper driver's license to operate an assigned vehicle
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and ability to lift fifty pounds
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Majors:
  • Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineers
