The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Engineer to join our team in Rockville, MD. As a Forensic Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing forensic investigations, report preparation, and expert testimony. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct forensic inspections and apply technical expertise to assess project conditions and identify potential issues or deficiencies.
  • Generate comprehensive field reports detailing observations, measurements, and findings from site visits and inspections.
  • Review and interpret drawings, codes, specifications, project manuals, material specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Provide expert reports that provide in-depth analysis, conclusions, and recommendations based on project requirements and findings.
  • Interpret and specify a wide range of testing, including material testing, structural analysis, and performance evaluations.
  • Supervise testing activities and ensure accurate data collection for accurate interpretation of results.
  • Perform peer review of other technical data prepared by internal Engineers/Architects as well as third-party entities.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Perform and coordinate design, calculations, and drawings.
  • Oversee and assist in the development and review of technical specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Structural/Civil Engineering.
  • Four plus years of experience in the architectural and engineering consulting industry.
  • Must have experience as an expert witness.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
  • Valid United States Driver's License required.
