Job Summary:
McLean Hospital, a comprehensive psychiatric hospital, is seeking a per diem staff psychologist to provide clinical services to patients. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. degree in psychology and licensure appropriate to the clinical discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services, including individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and group co-leadership.
- Maintain contact with family members as needed.
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical summaries in accordance with hospital policies.
- Serve as a liaison to other healthcare professionals and interface with payers and managed care organizations.
- Participate in program and hospital administrative activities, including staff meetings, CQI, and hospital committees.
- Maintain awareness of medicolegal and risk management issues.
- Participate in hospital teaching and research efforts, including supervision of trainees and CRCs.
Requirements:
- Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. degree in psychology from an accredited school of psychology.
- Licensure appropriate to the clinical discipline.
- Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
