The Radiologic Imaging Specialist plays a vital role in assisting healthcare providers in diagnosing injuries and diseases. This position requires a strong understanding of radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures.
Responsibilities- Greet patients, verify identities, and explain procedures in a kind and caring manner.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Process images, review for proper identification and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with approved radiology techniques and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment.
- Observe safety and security procedures to promote a safe work environment.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
- ARRT-registered preferred.
