Key Responsibilities of the Personal Care Specialist:

  • Assist residents in daily activities, simple treatments, and addressing emotional health or behavioral concerns as outlined in their service plans.
  • Contribute to the creation and modification of service plans by communicating current resident needs and effective service strategies to the supervisor.
  • Monitor and report any resident issues to the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medication Technician/Aide on duty.
  • Participate in onboarding, annual training, and team meetings as required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Wellness Director.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain any necessary certifications as mandated by state or provincial regulations.
  • Comply with state or provincial health-related requirements.
