Position Summary:
The primary role of the Claims Negotiator is to secure the highest possible settlements for clients while managing case loads efficiently and providing outstanding customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine case files, including medical documentation, photographs, police reports, and income statements.
- Evaluate records to formulate appropriate settlement demands.
- Draft demand letters and other necessary correspondence.
- Engage with insurance adjusters to negotiate claims effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, delivering exceptional service.
- Provide regular updates to clients regarding their case status.
- Complete required paperwork for settlement acceptance, including releases and lien negotiations.
- Organize and prioritize tasks based on a case list.
- Respond to communications, including emails and calendar invitations.
- Utilize FileVine case management software for updates and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in prelitigation, paralegal work, or insurance case management.
- Familiarity with the insurance claims process is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret and analyze medical records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective argumentation.
- Capability to assess reports and draw accurate conclusions.
- Proficient in managing multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills to handle a diverse case load.
- Experience with electronic document management and analysis.
- Comfortable with technology related to case and project management.
