Compensation Package:
- The hourly range for this position is $23.25-$34.00, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
About the Job
The Surgical Technician is accountable for assisting the surgical team to provide patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion, and stewardship.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Credentialed (current) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- (NCCT) National Center for Competency Testing as Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology education program or 5 years relevant experience required.

Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. The job also offers varied day shifts, with 72 hours every 2 weeks, including weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations.
