Job Summary

The OB Technician plays a vital role in the Labor and Delivery area, providing support to patients and healthcare teams. As a key member of the primary patient care team, the OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role, performing clinical and clerical functions to enhance the provision of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of care to patients on labor and delivery or postpartum care units
  • Provide care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Individualize and modify care according to patient needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to enhance patient care

Requirements

  • Applicable experience: Less than 1 year
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification
