About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled PTA to join our team based out of our office in East Poland, ME. The ideal candidate will have a valid PTA license in Maine and a minimum of 1 year of experience in home healthcare.
Job DescriptionAs a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized physical therapy services to patients who have lost mobility, strength, and functionality due to an illness or injury. You will work as part of a home health team focused on delivering patient-centered care and achieving optimal outcomes.
- Conduct assessments, observe movements, and document progress to modify care plans as needed
- Assist patients with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
- Educate patients on their plan of care, established goals, exercises, and self-care
- Coach family members on the plan of care, therapy goals, and safely assisting with exercises
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- An active PTA license in Maine
- A minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, ideally in home healthcare
- CPR certification
- Up-to-date vaccinations as required by the State of Maine
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, dexterity, and compassion
