The estimated salary for this role is between $75.55 and $98.95 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects the competitive market rate for a professional nurse with similar skills and expertise.

Job Description

This is a full-time position requiring a regular 40-hour workweek. You will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your duties will include:

  • Assessing patients pre-operatively to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the perioperative process
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans
  • Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current RN license in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience in ambulatory surgery or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing theories, concepts, and practices, as well as medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally
