About the Job
This role is part of the operating room team, working under the supervision of the Surgeon or Circulating RN to provide surgical care to patients. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for invasive procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures
- Ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing sterile instruments and providing needed supplies
- Have outstanding knowledge of surgical protocols, sterile and aseptic technique, and knowledge of surgical instrumentation and supplies
Requirements
This role requires a strong understanding of surgical protocols, sterile and aseptic technique, and knowledge of surgical instrumentation and supplies. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the operating room.
