Job Title: CDL Service Driver L1

The Milestone Transport Service Driver L1 is a critical role that requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. As a key member of the Transport Service Team, you will be responsible for safely driving and delivering materials and goods to support the daily execution of service operations.

This is a full-time, on-site position that may involve working in a large warehouse, data center, or other environments. You will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including:

  • Collecting inventory/goods from designated collection points and ensuring all client documents are in order and compliant with agreed processes.
  • Securing inventory/goods in the vehicle in an organized manner to ensure safe and secure transportation.
  • Providing input to the Transport Service Dispatcher to support daily planning and optimize routes.
  • Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver inventory/goods to client endpoints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Transporting inventory/goods by box truck and cargo van in accordance with all safety procedures and protocols.

You will also be responsible for conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections, documenting issues, and assisting with the scheduling of regular maintenance checks. Additionally, you will need to possess the ability to operate a vehicle in inclement weather conditions and ensure the consistent delivery of inventory/goods in good condition to clients.

As a CDL Service Driver L1, you will be expected to maintain a professional demeanor and interact positively with Milestone and client colleagues and stakeholders. You will also be required to unload inventory/goods at the destination, ensure clients sign necessary paperwork, and complete all assigned training and attend operational meetings.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a current CDL, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check. You will also need to demonstrate a willingness to be challenged and learn new skills, including inventory control, managing priorities, and workflow. Additionally, you will need to be computer literate, able to perform physical labor, and work in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for a team player who can work independently and manage changing workload priorities as directed by the Transport Service Dispatcher. You will need to ensure a positive, respectful, and professional attitude in everything you do and demonstrate competency in understanding and performing workplace safety basics. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are also essential.
