Job Title: Lead Mechanic - Equipment Specialist

Job Summary:

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanic to oversee and maintain heavy equipment, primarily focusing on CAT and Komatsu brands. The successful candidate will lead a team of 2 to 3 mechanics, both in-shop and on-site at various job locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of mechanics in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including excavators, sweepers, crushers, and wheel loaders.
  • Ensure top performance and safety standards are met in all equipment operations.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and improve equipment efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, diagnostics, electrical systems, and welding.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
