With its headquarters located in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been dedicated to delivering exceptional canned and pouched products to discerning foodservice, retail, industrial, and institutional clients for over five decades.
Facilities Overview:
NJFC operates three state-of-the-art production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA; San Benito Foods in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to oversee the Instrumentation, Electrician, and Electrical teams responsible for maintaining and testing electrical systems and components within a food processing environment.
This leadership role entails managing daily operational activities to ensure precision, seamless process flow, adherence to quality assurance standards, and effective productivity while striving for continuous improvement and meeting established objectives and deadlines at our San Benito Foods facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise skilled technicians in instrumentation electronics and electrical preventative maintenance services, including calibration, testing, and repairs of systems and equipment. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with plant instrumentation and process systems.
May oversee operations during designated shifts, particularly during peak production seasons; collaborate with technical or administrative personnel to address production or processing challenges, ensuring optimal plant efficiency.
Directly supervise electronics and electrical maintenance staff, including assigning daily tasks, providing coaching, delivering performance feedback, and initiating disciplinary or corrective actions as necessary.Facilitate communication with operators and maintenance teams regarding operational procedures and safety requirements when working with electrical and electronic components and equipment.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or vocational certification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Alternatively, any equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the key responsibilities of this role will be considered.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment, with a California Electrician's license being a plus.
Proficient understanding of solid-state circuitry, programmable controllers, robotics, and PLC/HMI programming in systems integration and functionality.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check including employment and educational verification, and be available to work extended hours and weekends during peak production seasons.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $88,500 - $99,500, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
