Job Title: Associate Optometrist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team at Wald Pro. As an Associate Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting comprehensive eye exams, and developing treatment plans to improve patients' overall health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, including children and seniors, to diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions and disorders.
  • Perform visual acuity tests, refraction, and other diagnostic tests to assess patients' vision and eye health.
  • Prescribe and fit glasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction devices.
  • Develop treatment plans to address patients' eye health needs, including recommending medications and treatments as necessary.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in optometry and maintain a thorough understanding of the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to provide patients with the best possible care.
  • Participate in succession planning and mentorship initiatives to support the development of junior optometrists and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the organization.
  • Utilize medical coding and terminology to accurately document patient records and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree or equivalent.
  • Current licensure as an Optometrist in the state of California and at least 1 year licensed.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, including the systems of the eye and the effects of various conditions on the eyes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in medical coding and terminology.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest advancements in optometry.
