**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Dogwood Industries LLC. The successful candidate will have the ability to efficiently and accurately weld steel assemblies from plans, specifications, and quality control hold points.

The Fabrication Specialist will be responsible for performing simple fittings, processing complex parts for assembly, and producing production-quality welds within a given process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding symbols, dimensional drawings, and written instructions, with the ability to read and understand shop plans, blueprints, and work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • welding competency in all positions
  • setting weld machines to optimum parameters for work in accordance with WPS
  • understanding weld symbols and preparing joints in accordance with code
  • utilizing jigs and fixtures where appropriate
  • performing basic fitting work as instructed
  • placing welds of proper size, spacing, and sequence per work instruction

Requirements:

  • high school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree
  • 3+ years of experience in welding or trade school education
  • Certified welder holding current WABO or AWS certification (FCAW)
  • sufficient operation of most non-specialized metal working equipment
