Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our team at KE Gutridge LLC. As a key member of our plumbing team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and apply plumbing codes to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Read and utilize specifications, submittals, and blueprints to complete projects
  • Operate and maintain powered industrial equipment and hand tools
  • Apply safety protocols in the work environment and implement policies to ensure a safe working environment
  • Work with a variety of piping systems and materials, including PVC, ABS, CPVC, copper, cast iron, steel, and stainless
  • Join pipes using various methods, including glues and primers, soldering, brazing, Pro-Press, threaded, and Victaulic
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work environments to ensure efficient project completion
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with the public and customers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a recognized apprenticeship program, OSHA 30 or 10 certification, and ability to obtain med gas certification
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • Working knowledge of computers, tablets, and smartphones, with basic skills in Microsoft products
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to climb stairs, ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction in adverse weather conditions. Work may be performed in ditches and elevated work platforms. The individual must have the ability to wear approved eye protection and hear bells, alarms, and whistles. The role requires the use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls, and the ability to sit, walk, talk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The individual must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and without assistance.
