POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Cabling Systems Project Coordinator will oversee the entire lifecycle of projects of varying complexities, ensuring that all phases from approval to execution and closure are managed effectively. This role serves as the primary contact for project updates, maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders while proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and outline detailed scope of work documents.
- Prepare comprehensive project estimates, including take-offs, pricing, and bid summaries.
- Monitor proposal statuses through direct communication and follow-ups.
- Establish and manage budgets, timelines, and project milestones.
- Conduct site surveys, assess new project costs, and propose solutions to installation challenges.
- Engage with clients during facility walkthroughs and pre-bid discussions.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding material costs and subcontractor agreements.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
- Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and documentation of ICT systems projects, including structured cabling, surveillance systems, access control, and more.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide service to both new and existing clients.
- Lead research and development efforts for new project designs.
- Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining oversight and accountability.
- Handle administrative duties related to project management, including bid creation and client communication.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely invoicing for all project-related expenses.
- Facilitate regular project team meetings to review progress and action items.
- Manage project turnover processes effectively.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications accurately.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace for internal and client communications, document management, and bid preparation.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as the role evolves.
Essential Duties:
- Demonstrate initiative by integrating new technologies and industry trends to enhance project efficiency.
- Apply knowledge of security systems, networking, and IP technologies in daily tasks.
- Utilize expertise in various surveillance and control systems to fulfill job requirements.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Pass drug screening and background checks as required.
- Engage frequently with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Display excellent customer service capabilities.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to non-climate-controlled settings.
- Potential exposure to airborne particles and construction-related debris.
- High noise levels may be present depending on the worksite.
