Position Overview:
As a Financial Planning Analyst, your key responsibilities will involve assisting the supply chain finance team in crafting and executing the annual budget, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and the analysis and reporting of monthly operational outcomes. You will collaborate closely with departmental leaders to oversee the budget and evaluate monthly performance metrics. Furthermore, you will provide analytical insights to business partners to enhance the company's operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate monthly closing processes, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, as well as the annual operating plan and strategic planning initiatives. Conduct variance analysis to identify the reasons for changes.
- Deliver meaningful, precise, insightful, and timely management reports in a clear format. This includes total cost and CPU analysis of all expenditures/variances for distribution business units and support teams. Collaborate directly with distribution center management and engineering teams.
- Assist in enhancing financial reporting and analysis, policies/procedures, and documentation, along with systems transitions and requirements. Provide ad hoc analytical support and undertake special projects as necessary.
- The Financial Planning Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in financial matters for their business partners, guiding them in making informed financial decisions. They will regularly lead projects aligned with their expertise and experience.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- 2-5 years of experience in roles such as Cost Accountant, Financial Analyst, or Business Analyst in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet/modeling software; familiarity with the PowerBI platform.
- Experience with SAP or other financial/statistical software, as well as financial databases.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a disciplined approach to work with meticulous attention to detail. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks and objectives in a dynamic environment. Proven capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

- Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive financial information.
- Able to indirectly guide managers and engineers on financial outcomes through effective verbal and written communication. Capable of analytical thinking while understanding and conveying overall strategy.
