Career Opportunity: Occupational Therapist

Catholic Charities is committed to providing exceptional care to our seniors, and we are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team.

About the Position:

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Evaluate and reassess participants upon referral from the team.
  • Provide and recommend therapeutic exercises.

Responsibilities:

  • Document changes of a participant's condition in their medical record consistent with documentation policies established by the medical director.
  • Provide supervision to program aides and other staff who are implementing an OT treatment program.
  • Reviews assessments and discharges participants when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an OT curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American OT Association.
  • At least two years experience as an OT, minimum one year experience working with a frail/elderly population.
  • Licensed OT in Louisiana, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
