Job Title: Registered Nurse - 7 West Vascular/Cardiac ICU

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at University Hospital.

Location: 530 S Jackson St, Louisville, KY 40202

Shift Options: PRN Rotating

About the Unit

7 West is a 10-bed intensive care unit that provides care for patients after vascular and cardiac procedures, strokes, and other complex diagnoses. Our team of experienced nurses uses advanced equipment such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This includes:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required for some units
  • An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
