Are you a dedicated and board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist looking for a leadership opportunity? We invite you to oversee our Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Mindoula Health.
Position Overview:
As the Medical Leader for the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit focusing on Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, you will be instrumental in guiding our team and ensuring outstanding care for our young patients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Spearheading quality improvement initiatives to uphold the standards of the Behavioral Health Unit.
2. Representing Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in organizational meetings and serving as the primary liaison for relevant clinical and administrative matters.
3. Engaging in program development and growth strategies.
Additional Duties:
1. Ensuring that psychiatric providers meet the hospital's volume and quality benchmarks.
2. Participating in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of providers.
3. Being available for clinical escalations during critical situations.
4. Attending meetings as the Medical Leader of the psychiatry service line.
5. Conducting psychiatric assessments and diagnosing patients.
6. Prescribing and monitoring medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
7. Providing crisis intervention and completing necessary clinical documentation.
8. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and modify treatment plans.
9. Coordinating care with case managers and stakeholders, offering referrals and education to patients and their families.
10. Providing virtual outpatient psychiatric services when needed.
Qualifications:
1. Maryland licensure or a commitment to obtain licensure.
2. Board certification or eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
3. Preferred willingness to obtain licensure in additional regions.
