Powerline Specialist

As a Powerline Specialist at Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative, Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing overhead and underground power distribution lines. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical line work and the ability to work safely in various environments.

• Construct and maintain electric distribution lines using journeyman-level knowledge of electrical line work
• Climb poles of all types and perform jobs required of linemen off the poles
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, diggers, and trenchers to frame and set poles, lay wire, tie wire, connect and disconnect services, and tree trimming
• Inspect existing power lines looking for problems, troubleshoot issues, and retire old power lines as required
• Respond to power outages and customer problems, and troubleshoot to restore power in a timely manner

• Journeyman knowledge of electrical line work and equipment operation
• Able to climb poles and work at heights
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment
• Ability to work in a team environment and provide training to lower-level personnel

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
