This role is vital for preparing detailed estimates and quotations for our modular shooting ranges and various products tailored to the specifications of our Military and Law Enforcement clientele.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes and be adept at addressing both internal and external inquiries regarding product details and pricing structures.

As a Cost Estimator, you will evaluate bid specifications and technical drawings, ensuring comprehensive understanding of project requirements to enhance our chances of successful bidding.

Your responsibilities will include proactive follow-ups with subcontractors to secure timely bids, as well as collaboration with Project Management teams to monitor bids and budgets effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all estimating activities for bids originating from the principal office, including attendance at pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs as necessary.
  • Ensure timely, precise, and profitable submission of bids.
  • Coordinate and oversee all pre-bid and bid-day activities and tasks.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive bids and estimates from the principal office.
  • Review bid documents and proposals, providing constructive feedback and recommendations to senior management.
  • Compile and organize estimating data to produce formal bids.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to guarantee the accuracy of bid information.

Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proficient understanding of engineering drawings and specifications, with the ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Capability to manage multiple bids and deadlines efficiently.
  • Experience handling the entire bid process from preparation to project initiation, including managing subcontractors and vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and estimating methodologies.

Additionally, a strong ability to interpret blueprints and structural designs is essential. Familiarity with CAD drawing is a significant advantage.

Experience in metal building fabrication and armor plating will be considered a plus.
