Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced CNA/PCT Instructor/Coordinator to join our team at GeorgiaGov. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and instructing CNA/PCT programs, as well as providing supervision to students during patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Coordination: Ensure compliance with Georgia Department of Community Health, Division of Medicaid, Nurse Aide Training Program policies and procedures.
  • Instructional Delivery: Develop, manage, and teach classes, delivering instruction both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Curriculum Development: Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for nurse aide and patient care technician courses.
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Develop and coordinate curriculum, conduct assessments of all courses taught in the department as requested, and evaluate effectiveness of courses through student data, graduate surveys, and employer surveys.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with developing yearly program budget, complete reports and requests for information from internal and external departments and agencies, and lead and coordinate nurse aide advisory committee for the department.
  • Student Support: Instruct students, developing program syllabi, goals, and objectives, and advise and register health sciences students.
  • Adjunct Faculty Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate adjunct faculty, and manage adjunct faculty teaching schedules.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Order and maintain equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of RN nursing experience within the last seven years in the area of patient care and/or teaching.
  • Licensure: Current unencumbered registered nursing license in the State of Georgia.
  • Certification: Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and customer service skills, and proficiency in base computer skills including, but not limited to MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited, post-secondary institution.
  • Certification: Instructor certification for AHA CPR and First Aid preferred.
  • Experience: Experience utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS); Blackboard LMS platform preferred.
  • Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience in a Nursing curriculum preferred.
