Meritas Health is seeking a skilled Patient Service Representative to join our Gashland team. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients accurately and efficiently, verifying eligibility and collecting co-payments and patient balances.
  • Provide positive customer service in person and over the phone, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for all patients.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, searching for patients using two identifiers to reduce errors and avoid duplicate accounts.
  • Coordinate the receipt and transfer of patient medical records in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
  • Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and checking patients out.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a physician's office or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic office skills.
  • CPT and diagnosis coding experience is a plus.
