Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Designer/Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing innovative machinery solutions that meet client technical and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create machine concepts that meet client technical and budget requirements
  • Design machines and components using SolidWorks, adhering to company standards
  • Select components and finalize Bills of Materials for purchasing and manufacturing departments
  • Collaborate with Sales and Manufacturing teams to innovate designs that fulfill client goals
  • Calculate factors such as tolerances, torques, dimensions, loads, and FEA
  • Manage multiple projects with other team members, establishing and monitoring timelines to ensure design work is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Develop detailed plans for proposed solutions, including technical specifications, timeline, and machine cost
  • Value engineer existing products
  • Proactively seek solutions for potential project challenges and constraints
  • Introduce new technology to be applied to CAM's products
  • Provide support to the manufacturing department during the building and installation process, ensuring machines are built according to design specifications
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs
  • Lead project meetings to provide updates on status, challenges, and solutions, ensuring effective communication across teams
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies to ensure project success
