We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team as a Lead Veterinary Technician. This role will oversee a team of veterinary technicians, ensuring exceptional patient care and a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and mentor veterinary technicians to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring a safe and functional work environment.
- Develop and implement training programs for new staff members.
- Identify opportunities for team development and growth, working closely with senior management to implement changes.
- Monitor workload and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal team performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and update policies and procedures.
- Perform duties as a working manager, actively participating in patient care and services as needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of veterinary technician experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and articulate issues to different audiences.
- Proficient time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Enthusiastic team player with a patient and positive professional attitude.
