About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to transport students to and from school. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students, while also providing a positive and welcoming experience for our passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a van or large-sized vehicle to transport students safely and in a courteous manner
- Pick up and drop off students using a route sheet or GPS unit
- Perform pre-trip/maintenance according to the state's general standards
- Complete DVIR manual daily and report any defects
- Other duties as needed to get the work done successfully
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area
- Possess a valid driver's license for 3 continuous years and in good standing
- Ability to train and pass a company road evaluation
- Proficient at using or willing to learn how to operate a wheelchair lift or necessary equipment
- Willingness to work in a diverse organization with many high-pressure situations
- Quick learner with professional written and oral communication skills
