Job Summary

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse at Hunterdon Health provides high-quality patient care through the application of the nursing process, focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience.
  • Experience
    • Required: Minimum of two years Acute Care RN experience. Minimum of one year experience as Cardiovascular RN.
  • License and Certification
    • Required: Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
    • Preferred: Certification in specialty, PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
    • Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2, IABP, Impella, and other procedure related technologies.

Additional Requirements

  • Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
