Plumbing Estimator

Old Dominion Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our Construction and Special Projects Division, you will be responsible for providing complete estimates for bids on projects assigned by the Estimating Manager.

• Perform site surveys to evaluate plumbing systems for developing budgets and bid estimates
• Obtain material/equipment and subcontractor bids
• Maintain opportunity report logs
• Read plans and specifications
• Coordinate job turnovers to operations

• 5+ years' experience in commercial and/or industrial construction projects or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years' Plumbing Estimating/Pre-Construction experience
• Demonstrate knowledge and efficiency in computer/network based estimating software
• Advanced knowledge of assigned discipline, estimating techniques and cost control
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The successful candidate will work in a professional office environment and will be required to visit construction and industrial work sites. Site visits will require walking through existing buildings, industrial plants and/or on-going construction sites, involving stairs and at times ladders on multiple floors/levels.
