Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. As an Oncology Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with cancer and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including initial nursing evaluations, development and implementation of care plans, and education and counseling of patients and families.
  • Assist with daily telephone triage and coordinate with advanced practice providers and medical oncologists to ensure timely triage of clinical issues.
  • Coordinate and perform injections, chemotherapy infusions, and blood draws, as well as track and document patient information in EPIC.
  • Assess psychosocial needs of patients and families and communicate with social service for follow-up.
  • Collaborate with practice staff, including RNs, research staff, APPs, MDs, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Massachusetts.
  • BSN required.
  • 3-5 years of oncology nursing experience required.
  • OCN preferred.
