Job Summary

This role focuses on providing medical and clinical support services to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced clinical setting. The Anesthesia Technician II will work under moderate supervision, performing a variety of tasks to support the operating rooms with anesthesia and physiological monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares and sets up anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway support for patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures.
  • Assists anesthesia staff with patient induction, connecting patients to hemodynamic monitoring, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Coordinates and oversees the anesthesia lab, ensuring staff competencies and documentation are up-to-date according to CAP policies.
  • Stocks and maintains anesthesia supplies, equipment, and inventory, ensuring proper functioning and timely repairs.
  • Provides coordinator role, delegating patient care activities and technical training to staff and new personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Two (2) years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree.
  • Anesthesia Technician Certification.
  • Experience with Radiometer ABL90 blood gas devices and Hemochron Elite ACT devices.
