About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Westbury NY facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading the equipment used in our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production and processing equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production and processing equipment.
  • Perform routine filter inspection and changes to dust collectors.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust.
  • Keep detailed records utilizing company CMMS.
  • Manage parts inventory, ordering, restocking supplies, and critical parts.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Daily inspections of production and process equipment.
  • Follow all applicable SOPs.
  • Follow all applicable company plant and safety rules.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • BOCES or Technical school a plus.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management software.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • 3+ years maintenance experience. Must be familiar with the general maintenance and repair of automated equipment, electrical controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Must have general knowledge and skills to perform basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Must have ability to understand PLC controls and calibrated systems.
  • Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to MIG, TIG, and arc weld a plus.
