As a Surgical Registered Nurse First Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the Operating Room at Providence. This full-time position involves working 8-hour shifts, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional surgical care.
About Us:
At Providence, we are dedicated to providing the latest in surgical technology and effective procedures for our patients. Our facility is equipped with six surgery suites tailored for adult patients, a gastrointestinal lab for endoscopic procedures, and a spacious recovery area designed to meet the diverse needs of our patients and surgical teams.
Surgical Procedures:
You will assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including Orthopedic, Gynecology, Robotics, General Surgery, Plastics, Podiatry, Bariatrics, Urology, and emergency OB/GYN c-sections as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide surgical first assistant, scrub, and circulating nurse services during operations.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and participate in daily departmental activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to patients across all age groups, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Engage in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an RNFA course.
- Valid California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in the operating room.
