Education Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Intervention Specialist to join our team in Ohio. This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs through tailored instruction and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Fundraising , Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year , Job Type: Full-Time, Position Overview:

  • This Intervention Specialist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and the community to promote both academic success and social-emotional growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing innovative instructional programs, such as project-based or inquiry-based learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Students with Special Needs: Design and deliver individualized and small-group instruction for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with Families: Work closely with families, educators, and community partners to create holistic support systems.
  • Develop Intervention Strategies: Develop and implement intervention strategies, particularly in literacy, math, and science.
  • Maintain Student Progress Records: Maintain accurate student progress records and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
  • Foster Positive Classroom Environment: Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, self-motivation, and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Special Education Teaching License: Valid Ohio Special Education teaching license (mild/moderate or moderate/intensive qualifications preferred).
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Team-Based Problem-Solving: Ability to collaborate effectively and engage in team-based problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Innovative Instructional Programs: Experience designing and implementing innovative instructional programs, such as project-based or inquiry-based learning.
  • Diverse Student Populations: Background working with diverse student populations, including those in urban or underserved communities.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficiency in using data-driven decision-making to guide instruction and assessments.
  • Whole-Child Approach: Commitment to a whole-child approach that addresses both academic and social-emotional development.
