Job Summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have an exceptional shopping experience by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and well-stocked produce department, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked produce department, including unpacking cartons, cleaning and trimming produce, and rotating stock to ensure freshness.
  • Assist in building attractive displays and maintaining the salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable as needed.
  • Accurately complete necessary product logs and handle spoiled and damaged product according to company policy.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in minimizing shrink and controlling damages, reporting shortages and overages to management.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries, as well as baling cardboard and other related duties if properly trained.
  • Ensure smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, and continuously improving job performance.

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
