Job Summary

Pick up and deliver various documents, mail, packages, lab specimens, equipment, materials, supplies, and other items within the organization and institutional clients.

Ensure timely, safe, and accurate delivery. Must be able to operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions. This job requires flexibility, reliability, and organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safely pick up and deliver various documents, mail, packages, lab specimens, equipment, materials, supplies, and other items from appropriate locations in a timely manner.
  2. Abide by all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and training. Represent Corewell Health in a professional manner upholding our core values of compassion, collaboration, courage, and curiosity.
  3. Follow appropriate protocol and procedures for accident/incident occurrences. Follow guidebooks outlined in each vehicle and notify leadership immediately.
  4. Interact with clients in a professional manner providing excellent customer service. Relay client service problems to the attention of supervisor.
  5. Responsible for maintaining and completing daily log.
  6. Ensure vehicle is ready for the following route by filling up the gas tank and returning keys and equipment to designated area.
  7. Keep vehicles clean, organized, and prepared for the next driver to utilize. Advise Supervisor of any repair needs.
  8. Utilize technology to best provide services to customers. Respond to urgent dispatch requests based on business and customer needs.
