Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Tech I to join our Sterile Processing Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments.
Key Responsibilities:- Decontaminate, clean, pack, sterilize, assemble, and store equipment, supplies, and instruments according to prescribed procedures and techniques.
- Work under the direction of the Manager of SPD, Coordinator SPD, or authorized designee to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless processing and delivery of medical equipment and instruments.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Must successfully obtain Sterile Processing Department Certification (CSPDT) within two (2) calendar years of employment.
- Prior SPD and/or Surgery experience preferred, but not essential.
