Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Solar Residential PV Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for installing rooftop solar electric panels at Sun Light and Power. This is a critical role that requires experience with residential rooftop solar installation processes, materials, and tools.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure every project meets or exceeds client expectations
  • Implement and monitor safety plans for projects
  • Participate in safety meetings
  • Maintain good rapport with team members
  • Review bill of materials and verify correct materials are available
  • Coordinate and execute material pickups and transportation
  • Safely unload, set up, climb, break down, and reload large ladders
  • Work safely and efficiently at height, while tied in
  • Safely operate power tools and hand tools
  • Help hoist PV solar modules to residential rooftops
  • Install PV modules, including staging, prepping, securing module wiring, fastening, grounding, and aligning modules aesthetically
  • Assist with wire pulls
  • Take photos of work progress and completion
  • Document job build and upload photos and information to cloud-based project folder
  • Ensure work site is clean and clear of clutter and hazards
  • Complete daily time sheet reflecting details of the day
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate respectfully and clearly
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work in extreme environments
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Experience with and proven knowledge of basic arithmetic, fractions, and geometry
  • Current CA driver license with acceptable driving record
