Position Overview:
A Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. This position is essential for ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms and common areas by following established cleaning protocols.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, empty wastebaskets, and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Assist in preparing facilities for various events, meetings, and conferences.
- Perform floor care duties including stripping, cleaning, buffing, and applying sealers to hard surfaces, as well as vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct wall and equipment cleaning, utilizing ladders when necessary.
- Remove snow, ice, or debris from sidewalks and stairs within designated areas using appropriate tools.
General Responsibilities:
- Adhere to scheduled work hours and maintain professionalism in interactions with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least three months of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Physical ability to perform the tasks associated with the position.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and modern cleaning techniques.
Work Environment:
