Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced communication systems and sensing systems for US intelligence customers and allies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design, VHDL, and Verilog, with experience in leading technical teams and implementing designs with various FPGA manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop high-speed digital systems using FPGA technology
* Lead technical teams in the implementation of complex digital designs
* Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to develop and integrate advanced communication systems and sensing systems
* Develop and maintain VHDL and Verilog code for FPGA designs

Requirements:

* BS degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering discipline with 12 years of experience; or MS Degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering discipline with 10 years of experience, or PhD in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering discipline with 7 years of experience
* VHDL or Verilog proficiency is required
* Familiarity with signal processing algorithms
* Experience leading technical teams
* US Citizenship is required
* The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance to start (NG will sponsor)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience on cross-discipline teams
* Advanced Knowledge in VHDL
* Experience implementing designs with a variety of FPGA manufacturers (Xilinx, Microsemi, Lattice, Intel/Altera)
* Experience simulating VHDL designs, ModelSim, QuestaSim, or comparable simulators
* Proficient with MATLAB/Octave
* Familiarity with RADAR and EW signal processing algorithms
* Experience with GNU Radio or software-defined radios
* Experience with wireless digital communication systems, in particular modern digital modulation techniques and modem design
* Familiarity with RF receiver development, including system link budget and sensitivity analysis, ADC and receiver noise analysis, and baseband conversion and processing
* Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI
