Acute Home Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in training and developing our nurses to provide exceptional patient care and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing staff
- Maintain accurate training records and update training materials as needed
- Supervise and train field nurses to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care
- Conduct clinical chart reviews to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
- Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide ongoing staff reviews and in-services to ensure staff are up-to-date on industry changes, regulations, and guidelines
- Prepare for Joint Commission or State surveys to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversee the Influenza Program and Emergency Management Program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide training to improve patient outcomes and the patient experience
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
- Licensed RN with a minimum of 5 years of experience in home health
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a QI role and/or management experience in home health
- Must have experience with OASIS
- BSN-RN preferred
- OASIS Certified (COS-C, HCO-S) preferred
- ICD-10 CM Certified (HCS-D) preferred
- KanTime experience preferred
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
