We're seeking a seasoned Senior Cardiologist Leader to join our clinical operations team. This role will play a key part in providing direct patient care and assessments in an ambulatory healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cardiologist. They will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various cardiovascular ailments or diseases, taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, and developing plans of care.

As a Senior Cardiologist Leader, you will also be expected to:

  • Provide excellent inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, including care coordination and population management of market members
  • Lead a cardiovascular care team that may include Care Promoters, Echocardiogram/X-ray Technicians, and mid-levels (ARNP or PA) dedicated to cardiology
  • Assist the Medical Director, Cardiology in managing day-to-day clinical and business operations and building positive relationships with providers and stakeholders
  • Consult with the Medical Director, Cardiology to ensure compliance with guidelines and participate in risk and quality management programs
  • Manage the care of chronic cardiovascular diseases, examining patients and running tests to determine chief complaints and recommending appropriate care or treatment plans

You will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, traveling locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 15% of the time. A strong ability to cultivate relationships with primary care physicians, their center-based care teams, and other staff is essential.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Cardiology field
  • Superior clinical skills in managing seniors with complex medical needs throughout all environments of care
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with external organizations
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage for results
  • Conflict management and resolution skills, ideally with experience in population risk management or complex chronic disease care management

As a physician-led company, we value education and experience. You must hold a DO or MD in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty, with board certification in Cardiology. Current licensure to practice medicine in your state of employment is required, along with a DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration.
