Job Summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director to lead our clinical team and provide exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing services, managing the nursing team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
  • Clinical Operations
    • Oversee the delivery of nursing services, including medication management, wound care, and other clinical interventions.
    • Develop and implement clinical programs to improve resident outcomes and quality of life.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure a seamless resident experience.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including state and federal laws.
    • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor and improve resident care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the nursing budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce expenses.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
    • Minimum two (2) years RN experience with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
    • Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Certified in CPR and First Aid.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state, and board of nursing requirements.
    • Knowledge of infection control practices and prevention of disease transmission.
    • Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their demonstrated skill capability and in compliance with all regulations.
    • Experience in tracking, trending, and analysis of clinical performance data preferred.
    • Experience in quality and clinical process improvement and risk assessment preferred.
    • Experience in staff development, training, and/or clinical education preferred.
